Cording appoints Kate Thomson to UK residential team

18th September 2018

Cording Real Estate Group, the Northern European real estate investment and asset management firm, has strengthened its fast-expanding private rented sector (PRS) team with the appointment of Kate Thomson as Head of Delivery, UK Residential.

Kate has more than 20 years’ experience of leading large-scale housing developments across southern England. She previously worked as Head of Development South (New Projects) for Clarion Housing Group, where she was responsible for leading development teams and working with internal and external stakeholders such as developers, contractors, local authorities and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

Prior to joining Clarion Housing Group, Kate held similar positions at the Network Housing Group and the Home Group, having begun her career at Places for People. She holds a degree and a CNAA Diploma in Town Planning.

Her appointment to the PRS team follows those in the last three months of John Molloy as a Senior Project Manager, Construction, and Paul Waggott as Fund Financial Controller. John’s responsibilities include project management of the £40 million Saffron Court PRS development in Nottingham, while Paul focuses on Cording’s newly-launched £400m UK PRS fund.

Tim Holden, Director of Residential Development and Asset Management at Cording, said: “Kate’s experience and know-how will help us in our quest to build up one of the best PRS teams in the UK”.
